Discovering Perugia
In this time of year, with the first cold and the days getting shorter, I suggest a weekend between Perugia and Umbria, a region that offers its best with the colors and scents of Autumn.
Don’t miss a visit to the historical center of Perugia, shaped by the Middle Ages and the Renaissance; the city is an Etruscan installation.
Here is the Fontana Maggiore in Piazza IV Novembre, with its beautiful tiles, and on the backdrop you can see the Palazzo dei Priori and the Cathedral of San Lorenzo.
The walls of Perugia, made of large boulders, are crossed by Porta Marzia, Porta Mandorla and by Arco Etrusco..
For a dinner that combines a modern cuisine to traditional dishes of Umbria you can choose La Taverna – Via delle Streghe, 8 ( tel. +39 (0)75 5724128 )
In these days in Perugia is taking place Eurochocolate, a must for chocolate addicted.
If you have time, I recommend a trip to Lake Trasimeno where you can enjoy yourself with nice walks in the villages along the lake.
Discover as well our B&B in Umbria!
